🌟 Flexible Options: No mandatory 20-week contract bundles. Choose single-session drop-ins when you need flexibility, or transition to a monthly club membership when you're ready for a weekly routine.
Our Studio Policies
To keep our community classes high-quality, sustainable, and beautifully prepared, we ask our art families to partner with us on the following:
Cancellation & Rescheduling: Because we prep materials and reserve a specific stool for your artist, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
Low-Enrollment Policy: Art is best shared! Our group sessions require a minimum of 4 students to run. In the rare event a time slot doesn't meet this threshold, the class will be canceled, and you will receive your choice of a 100% full refund or an immediate, direct transfer to a different day and time.
A Supportive Creative Culture: We are deeply committed to fostering a culture of supportive creativity for everyone in the studio. Classroom behavior and expectations are an important part of creating a nurturing environment for all learners.
Hello! I am Summer Wyman. I am a professional fine artist, mother and teacher who has always had the dream of owning my own art school. I worked as a STEAM+ Art Specialist for DMUSD for 5 years, after obtaining my Masters of Education and California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UCSD. My husband, Jason, is a credentialed teacher. In addition to teaching 2nd/3rd Grade, PE, and Yoga, Jason taught K-5 art in Oceanside. When classes shut down in 2020, we started providing small group classes outdoors in our garden studio - Summer Wyman Fine Art Studio in Carmel Valley.

Surf and Turf Art Club is our new location in Del Mar. It is a place for students of all ages and skill levels to learn about fine art painting, drawing, sculpture and art history.Â

In addition to teaching art classes, I am a working fine artist. I studied at the world renowned Art Center College of Design and I earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from CSUCI. I specialize in figure drawings and large scale oil on canvas portraits and landscapes.
